By enrolling in our courses, engaging our media services, visiting either of our websites, or otherwise providing us with personal data, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you are a GP Cemerlang student (or parent/guardian)

Full name, IC/passport number, date of birth, nationality
Phone/WhatsApp number, email address, home address
Parent/guardian name and contact details (for students under 18)
Academic information — English proficiency level, target IELTS band, mock test scores, attendance and progress records
Payment information for course fees

If you are a KT Media Services client

Name, email, phone/WhatsApp, company name (if applicable)
Project details — briefs, scripts, instructions
Uploaded content — raw footage, audio, images, or other media files
Payment information for invoicing

For all visitors and enquiries

Messages sent via phone, WhatsApp, email, or website contact forms
General website usage data (pages visited, browsing behaviour), if either site uses cookies or analytics

We do not store full credit/debit card numbers for either service.

2. How We Use Your Information

For GP Cemerlang:

Enrolling and registering you in IELTS preparation courses
Assessing English proficiency and tracking progress toward your target band
Communicating about class schedules, materials, results and fees
Assisting with official IELTS test registration where requested

For KT Media Services:

Scoping and delivering the video editing or media production services you request
Communicating about timelines, revisions and deliverables
Processing payments and issuing invoices

For both:

Responding to enquiries
Improving our courses, services and websites
Complying with legal or regulatory obligations

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on:

Consent — given when you enrol, submit a project enquiry, or contact us
Contractual necessity — to provide the tuition or media services you’ve engaged us for
Legitimate interest — for administrative purposes such as attendance tracking, project management, and invoicing

4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell personal data belonging to either GP Cemerlang students or KT Media Services clients. We may share data with:

IDP Education / official IELTS test administrators — for GP Cemerlang students who ask us to assist with official IELTS test registration
Cloud storage, file-transfer or project management tools — for KT Media Services clients, solely to complete your project
Payment processors — to process course fees or invoices
Government or regulatory authorities — where required by law

We do not disclose personal data to third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.

5. Data of Minors (GP Cemerlang)

Some GP Cemerlang students are under 18. Where a student is a minor, we collect and process their data with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who may contact us at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s data, subject to Section 9.

6. Your Content and Intellectual Property (KT Media Services)

Any raw footage, files, or materials you provide us remain your property. We use this content solely to deliver the editing or production services requested, and will not use, publish, or share your project content (e.g. in a portfolio) without your permission.

7. Data Retention

GP Cemerlang academic and attendance records: retained for [Add retention period, e.g. 3 years] after a student completes or discontinues classes

We otherwise retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and project content against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Withdraw consent for us to process your data (which may affect our ability to continue providing services to you)
Request deletion of your personal data or project files, subject to legal or contractual obligations
